Laurence J. Ross is celebrating over 30 years in the business, having successfully negotiated hundreds of sales transactions over the course of his career. His venture into real estate began as a college intern, working for Balcor-American Express’s syndication subsidiary.  From there he went to work as a sales associate at LI based Parke-Hayden Rlty and then Winoker where he helped spearhead the Investment Sales Division.  Prior to forming Highcap, Laurence worked at Besen & Associates as a Senior Broker where he helped grow the firm. Over the course of his career he has successfully negotiated notable sales transactions such as 345 West 35th St (TRYP Hotel), 131 West 33rd St (Childrenswear Building), 375 W Broadway (Anthropologie Bldg) in Soho, Met Life Storage Facility in Bronxville and most recently the Sale/JV of the Roslyn Hotel and legendary music venue My Father’s Place where he currently sits on the Board of Directors.  He has a wide perspective of the field, earned over his past involvement in all facets of the industry, including management, leasing and ownership. His deep understanding of the ever changing dynamics of the NYC marketplace and consultative solution approach towards asset disposition has made him a leader in his field and is recognized as a seasoned veteran in the industry.  He was also Co-Founder of Propertyrover, formerly a search engine geared towards the real estate industry and RESN, an industry networking group. Ross graduated from the University of MD in College Park with a BS degree in Business and Marketing. He was awarded the NY Skyline Award by SmartCEO Magazine, named as a Commercial Broker All Star from Globe St/RE Media Network, and recently the Hospitality Deal of the Year by LI Business Network. His articles have been featured in many of the leading real estate publications over the years. Ross is an avid golfer, and served on the Board of Directors at Glen Head Country Club and related committees.
